The whole of Christian Faith is built on the Gospel of Christ. Gospel means “Good News”. it is a declaration that something happened, and in that sense it is different from every religion the world has ever known. Every other religion in the world brings good advice. Only the Gospel brings Good News. Only Jesus tells us that we need saving and has done the work of it himself. Our salvation only needs to be received. Only Jesus teaches to reject the world and trust in the news of his rescue of us through his life, death and resurrection. That rejection is called repentance and that trust is called faith. That is the Gospel.
